Polyurethane sealant – These sealants can be sprayed, brushed, or rolled onto the substrate. Common types of sealants used include water-based, oil-based, and wax-based. Polyurethane sealants are clear and produce a seamless finish. Some of these sealants also feature UV protection. Polyurethane sealants are made of a polyurethane polymer and a curing agent that forms a barrier when it comes into contact with moisture.
Water-based sealant -These sealants are recognized as an eco-friendly option that is low in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). This feature meets the VOC requirements of the Green Building Council Australia (GBCA). Water-based sealants are available in timber look, matt, gloss, or clear finishes.
