For outstanding durability and toughness of the membrane, PWSS is committed to supply products with Code Mark certification. Two-part cementitious waterproofing membrane is highly flexible and rapid drying.

This membrane typically consists of powder and liquid ingredients. Key features of applying this membrane include UV resistance and adhesion to substrates.

PWSS typically uses WPA 200, a highly flexible cementitious waterproof membrane. Prior to application, the surface is prepared by applying a high-grade epoxy primer i.e. WPA 560.

Products and services offered by PWSS comply with AS4654, which covers the requirements for the design and installation of external waterproofing membrane systems applied to roofs, decks, balconies, and planter boxes. From a workmanship perspective, PWSS will ensure that our nominated waterproofing membranes and methods of application comply with Australian Standards and the Building Code of Australia. Our installers are qualified per CPC31411 Cert III in construction waterproofing.

Underscreed and overscreed application is highly recommended when it comes to waterproofing .Irrigation to the garden decking is supplied on a regular basis compared to exposed concrete roof decking which means the exposure to water is more intense. The applied membrane on slab level must continue across the entire slab which includes underneath planter walls. Non-woven, macro-holed polypropylene fabric known as Mapetex Sel to be used as reinforcement on the waterproofing membrane. Prior to installation of drainage cell and landscaping media, the applied membrane should be protected using corflute protection board.

It is crucial to conduct a substrate inspection to ensure that the waterproof membrane can be applied correctly according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. The adhesion between the substrate and waterproof membrane is dependent on having clean substrates. As part of the substrate preparation process, voids must be flushed, and joints should be filled. In some cases, the concrete slabs may not be laid with sufficient falls, and when this happens, an epoxy screed must be applied.
